The action takes place between 1880 and 1908. The life and accomplishments
of Henry Ford are told through song and dance by an ensemble cast of three
males and two females.
Available roles:
Henry Ford: exuberant, enthusiastic you man. He sings, he dances:
solos, duets, with the ensemble! He is everywhere!
Wiliam Ford: Henry's father. Henry and Wm. have an antagonistic
relationship. Wm. is involved in duets and ensemble singing
and dancing. He has a nice duet with Henry.
Jim Bishop: Henry's friend and assistant. He often acts as a narrator
and has solos within ensemble songs. He is involved in
ensemble dancing.
Margaret Ford: Henry's sister. She also acts as a narrator and is in
ensemble songs and dances. She sings a comedic, sexy,
vamp-style solo that is a show stopper.
Clara Ford: Henry's wife. Clara sings solos, duets, waltzes with Henry
and dances with the ensemble. She needs to have a good sense
of comedic timing coupled dramatic ability.
