Children: 6 – 7:30 p.m.  Annie Sullivan: 7:00 – 8:00 pm

Other adults: 7:30 – 9:00 p.m.

 

Production dates: October 16-18, 21 (school matinees), 23-24

 

Roles:

Helen Keller      (8 – 12 years old) blind and deaf since infancy

Annie Sullivan (looks 20) feisty, intelligent, new teacher

Kate Keller        (18 – 40 years old)  Helen’s mother

Captain Keller   (30 -  60 years old) Helen’s father

James Keller      (14 – 22 years old) Helen’s step-brother

Aunt Ev               (30 – 60 years old)  Helen’s aunt

Viney                   (18 – 60 years old) family servant

Martha                (8 – 15 years old) servant child

Percy                   (8 – 15 years old) servant child

Anagnos              (30 – 80 years old) teacher at school for the blind

A Doctor                     (30 – 80 years old)

Blind girls          (8 – 18 years old)

 

Time: the 1880s

Place: Tuscumbia, Alabama

 

Auditions will include some movement and improvisation.
